Supplies Needed: Wooden Plaque 1) Start by preparing your surface. Drill two small holes
in top. Lightly sand plaque with fine sand paper.
Seal with a all-purpose acrylic sealer, let dry.
Lightly sand again. 6) Apply a light oak stain to soft cloth, wipe over plaque. Wipe off stain until amount of color desired. Let dry. 7) Using a single stroke, Apply one thin coat of decoupage glue to surface of design with a soft brush, let dry. Let cure for 48 hours. Apply two coats of water based semi-gloss varnish with a soft brush. I like Minwax semi-gloss water based varnish. Let dry. 8) Attach wire handle through holes by bending at ends forming loop. Glue charms to plague with Elmer's glue-all and tie various colors of small ribbons and yarns to wire.
