Supplies Needed:
Most of these supplies can be purchased at you local craft and stamp stores  

 

Plain silver paint can from your Home Decor store
Kilz, water based sealer
Spray Paint in Copper Metallic
Witch Tissue Decoupage Paper on Vintage Brown
Precut Letters from local Scrapbook store
Staz-on permanent ink in Brown, Green & Purple
Faux Finish Stamp - find at you local stamp or scrapbook store
Stencil in Star Shape
Stencil Brush
Silver Paint
Elmer's Glue-all
Krylon Matte Spray
5 door knob balls (craft store)
Water based high gloss varnish
E-6000 glue
Braid, Charms, Beads, Rhinestones

1)Wash your paint can and dry well.  Paint with Kilz water based sealer to help the spray paint stick.

2) Spray paint can with two coats copper spray paint.  Let dry. 

3)Load you faux stamp with brown Staz-on ink and stamp you can in a rolling motion, you don't want it perfect, it should look Faux Finished.

4) Cut your tissue decoupage paper, apply glue to back and glue on surface, making sure ends are sealed

5) Paint you five door knob balls with Kilz sealer, let dry.  Paint with silver metallic water based craft paint, let dry.  Apply two coats of water based varnish, while this is drying move on to the remainder of the project.

6) Take the precut letters, Staz-on ink pad in green and purple, and a makeup sponge and color your letters.  Let dry.  Glue to surface with Elmer's glue-all.

7) Using your stencil, stencil brush, and silver metallic water based craft paint stencil on your stars.  Make sure you have a very dry brush, do not overload with paint.  Brush most of the paint off the brush onto a paper towel.  You are working on a non-porous surface and a little goes a long way.

8) Once everything is dry,  lightly stamp with your faux finish stamp and Staz-on ink in brown, going over words, stars, and paper, blend well.  Let dry. 

9) Spray with three coats Kryon matte spray, let each coat dry well.

10) Add three coats water based high gloss varnish.
