Meet your Instructors
Nikki Gonzales, Artist
Nikki is a Jr. artist who has always had a love of art.
She has worked in many different mediums. Nikki has a
great creative eye for color design and shape which works
wonderfully in the medium of Origami. Nikki has been
doing Origami for 5 years and has taught Origami to the R/E
department at Chalice.
Rev. Margo McKenna Brower, Artist
Margo is a Unitarian Universalist minister with a passion
for art. Margo has the heart of a sculptor and loves working in paper.
She has been exploring her art journey for about five years
with different mixed media techniques.
She is an inspiration to people who do not think they are
creative!
Dea Shelton, Artist
Dea is an integrative artist that takes many mediums and combines them to make interesting forms of art. She has been featured at the Del Mar Fair in mixed media, on KUSI morning news for her Venetian Masks, been a published artist several times, and will be a featured artist in the magazine "Where Women Create", in May 2010. She sells her jewelry at Fine Art and Craft Fairs, Church Camps, and on her website. Paper and paint is her passion in art and she has created and taught craft and art classes for 15 years. Dea has been on her art journey for 30 years, and loves to inspire people to create art!
Audrey Anderson, Artist
Audrey is a self-taught artist who makes handmade papers. She casts her paper into molds she carves by hand. Audrey has been working in this medium for several years, and sells her handmade cards at local art fair's.
Sue Kaufman, Artist
Sue is an artist who explores many different art mediums. She does sculpture, jewelry, polymer clay, and tole painting. Sue has shown her art at the Del Mar Fair, and local art shows. Currently, you can see her sculptures at the La Jolla Art Association. Sue teaches many different art and craft classes at the El Cajon Adult School. She loves the way art makes you feel and enjoys bringing her passion for art to others.
